Vegan Fashion Week is dedicated to elevating ethical fashion globally. We launched this incredible movement in the heart of the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles as a tribute to the animals & an ode to the end of animal exploitation in all forms. Produced and curated by creative director and animal rights advocate, Emmanuelle Rienda, this intimate soirée was a historic experience where fashion met activism with a deeply conscious twist.

In conjunction with the Los Angeles Night of Ideas, the Museum of Natural History activated its galleries, diorama halls, theater and public spaces throughout the museum, inside and out. Highlights of the event included a talk by the climate scientist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Robert Lempert and our vegan fashion show, to coincide with the opening of Vegan Fashion Week. This year’s theme, “Facing Our Time”, explored the challenges we are facing around ecological and climate change through the lenses of science, nature, and art.

Vegan Fashion Week revealed its highly anticipated list of designers in exclusivity to attendees during its grand debut with a “vegan world” and a fashion runway at the California Market Center in the heart of the fashion district, in Downtown LA. Ahead of the events for New York, Paris, Milan and London Fashion Week, Vegan Fashion Week invited like-minded designers and activists to the runway to showcase innovative, cruelty-free, and sustainable styles. Vegan Makeup was provided by Kat Von D Beauty and Vegan Hair Products by Giovanni Cosmetics.

In attendance at the California Market Center were notable vegan enthusiasts including Moby, Mena Suvari and Harley Quinn Smith among press and influencers. Designers included: Dr. Martens, Kat Von D Beauty, Matea Benedetti, Noémie Devime, Altiir, Bayem, Ecopel, Piñatex, Enda, New Rock, Mistohn, Sarah Regensburger, Chloé Trujillo, Vegan Club, WastedLA.
